community design technology
I've been writing about additional weblog payloads for two years. I suggested the calling it the "Semantic Weblog" and got a response I didn't expect (a chance to learn!) KenMacLeod posted today Really? Is this true for all the developer communities or just for the RSS/RDF communities? Wasn't the Semantic Web was an implementation-neutral idea? Or has the meaning substantially changed? More:

Harry Potter sneaks a peak at Atlas Shrugged and becomes an Ayn Rand objectivist. Why save muggles when they should be saving themselves? Why not ruthlessly exploit Apple's leaked G5 specs? Harry now hates lawyer but doesn't hesitate to reach for the top by suing the New York Daily News. Is there a backlash in the works? Could the gay pride parade have trampled waiting bookbuyers, causing the first known Harry Potter death? Or was it the stampede for nude portraits of Hermione with the newly slim Radley Balko? These tragedies can be prevented when stores are designed for city comforts or for phantoms like Gerard Butler. Harry is no match for 50 Cent when it comes to Kazaa downloads. They even beat out Metallica like The Hulk stepping on Beyonce Knowles. But what about politics?

The conclusion of Halley Suitt's Read Me, an impassioned and insightful social comment: Like women in business, weblogs in business are the next big thing, and the two will work in concert to make the workplace radically new and transparent. The Net brought transparency to the travel business, to the financial business, to many other transaction based businesses. As for weblogs, the most innovative initiatives will not be in the arena of weblogging technology, but rather the innovation demanded of business as business grows more transparent, more open to the stories of all people who need to tell their stories and need to bring business back into reality and a place of truth. It'll take ten minutes to read the whole thing. Make the time for one of this generation's leading metabloggers. [aka klogs]
