So you've completed a major milestone, capping off a whole project stage. It is time to get stakeholder signoff again. The Stage End Approval Report is your tool for formalizing this buy-in. It has two parts: If your board meets, the Stage End Approval becomes an agenda item. Otherwise, you circulate copies for approval.
Project Name: Stage: Development & Technical Products The Project Board accepts and signs off, subject to the qualifications itemized below, the development and technical products submitted at the end of the current stage. Project Board Signature Project Board Signature Project Board Signature Qualifications: Item 1... Item 2... etc. Authorization to Proceed to Next Stage The Project Board authorizes proceeding according to the next stage plan, subject to the qualifications itemized below. Item 2... etc. Project phases are sometimes called "stages" (especially where English is spoken without an American accent).

The Project Initiation Stage defines scope, schedule, resources, and risks, and gets buy-in from stakeholders to go forward. The Project Initiation Kick Off Report is your roadmap for this stage, how you will complete the Project Initiation Checklist.
